Bicycle Accidents in Georgia
Though bicycle accidents do not happen as commonly as other accidents, they tend to lead to some of the most catastrophic damage when they do occur. This is due to the fact that bicyclists have next to no protection against large vehicles on our roads. Drivers are always told to watch out for bicyclists on our roads so that these accidents can be prevented. Between 2015 and 2019, an average of 24 bicyclists were killed in fatal bicycle accidents throughout Georgia each year. If you have sustained injuries in a bicycle accident that is not your fault, you should speak with an attorney that you can trust.
The aftermath of a bicycle accident can be a difficult thing to face, especially if you have been seriously injured in your accident. Some of the most severe injuries that stem from bicycle accidents include the following:
- Spinal cord injuries
- Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs)
- Internal organ damage
- Broken bones
These injuries sometimes land victims in the hospital for an extended period of time. On top of this, they could cause you to miss out on time in the workplace. Speaking with a Savannah personal injury attorney can help you get back on your feet during these difficult times.
