Sautee Nacoochee, GA – Three-Vehicle Accident with Injuries on GA-75
Sautee Nacoochee, GA (April 11, 2021) – Around 12:26 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, a three-vehicle accident occurred on a roadway in Sautee Nacoochee.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened on GA-75 around the area of Tray Mountain Road. At the time, a vehicle was traveling north and started to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The driver of the first vehicle crossed over the center lane and struck a second and third vehicle. The first vehicle struck the third vehicle head-on, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene. The first driver was identified as an 81-year-old man, the second driver was identified as a 58-year-old man, and the driver of the third vehicle was identified as a 51-year-old man. All three drivers, along with three passengers, were hospitalized with a variety of injuries.
The driver of the first vehicle was cited for failing to maintain his lane and not having proof of insurance.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
