Sandy Springs, GA – Truck Crash on I-285 Near New Northside Dr
Sandy Springs, GA (May 29, 2021) – At 11:24 a.m. on Friday, May 28, a truck crash occurred on a highway in Sandy Springs.
According to local officials, the collision happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 at New Northside Drive. A tractor-trailer collided with a passenger vehicle in the area for reasons that are not yet known. The passenger vehicle was left with extensive damages.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to various hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
