Sandy Springs, GA – Serious Car Accident on I-285 Near Roswell Rd
Sandy Springs, GA (December 20, 2021) – At 8:47 a.m. on the morning of Monday, December 20, a serious car accident with injuries occurred in Sandy Springs.
According to Sandy Springs officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Roswell Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
A temporary red alert was issued in the area and all lanes were blocked for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could resume as normal.
