Sandy Springs, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries in EB Lanes of I-285
Sandy Springs, GA (August 6, 2021) – At 2:12 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, August 6, a multi-vehicle crash took place in Sandy Springs.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of The Perimeter around the area of Roswell Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another due to unknown reasons. It is believed that one or more vehicles lost control in the area. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The right lane of traffic was blocked in the area for some time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
