Sandy Springs, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash at GA-400 Near Abernathy Rd
Sandy Springs, GA (July 12, 2021) – At 2:01 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, July 12, a multi-vehicle crash occurred in Sandy Springs.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of GA-400 around the area of Abernathy Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals. Their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time until police cleared the scene. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 9 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
