Sandy Springs, GA – Car Crash at Hammond Dr & Peachtree Dunwoody Rd
Sandy Springs, GA (July 3, 2021) – At 9 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, July 3, a car crash with injuries occurred in Sandy Springs.
According to the Sandy Springs Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Hammond Drive and Peachtree Dunwoody Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged. The vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked at the intersection until police were able to clear the scene.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision at this time.
