Rossville, GA – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries at McFarland Ave & Maple St
Rossville, GA (June 7, 2022) – Around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, a two-vehicle collision took place at an intersection in Rossville.
According to Walker County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of McFarland Avenue and Maple Street. A Ford sedan and a Dodge Avenger were traveling in the area when they both entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with each other. Both vehicles sustained severe side-impact and front-end damage. A third party told police that the Dodge had a red light when it went through the intersection.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several parties were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated by fire crews. The parties were then hospitalized with injuries.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a short period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
