Rome, GA – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries at GA-53 & GA-1
Rome, GA (November 15, 2021) – At 11:25 a.m. on the morning of Monday, November 15, a two-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Rome.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-53 and GA-1. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when the drivers entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
