Rome, GA – Two Killed in Fatal Head-on Collision on US-27
Rome, GA (April 22, 2021) – Around 8:30 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, April 22, two people were killed in a fatal head-on collision in Rome.
According to the Floyd County Police Department, the accident happened on US-27 around the area of Maple Drive in front of Berry College. Two vehicles allegedly collided head-on with each other, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Two people, who have not yet been identified, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was completely closed down in the area of the accident.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
