Rome, GA – Truck Accident with Injuries at Martha Berry Blvd & Fifth Ave
Rome, GA (December 28, 2021) – On Tuesday afternoon, December 28, a truck accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Rome.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Martha Berry Boulevard and Fifth Avenue. A dump truck was traveling in the area when it entered the intersection at the same time as a black Chevy Silverado near the Sumo entrance. The vehicles forcefully collided with each other, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the dump truck, who has not yet been identified, was injured as a result of the collision. The injured party was taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
