Rome, GA – Three-Vehicle Crash with Injuries at Shorter Ave & Redmond Cir
Rome, GA (August 12, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a three-vehicle collision that took place at an intersection in Rome on Wednesday night, August 10.
Police in Rome reported that, around 8 p.m., three vehicles collided at the intersection of Shorter Avenue and Redmond Circle. According to officials, a driver was traveling through the intersection when their vehicle slammed into two other vehicles after losing control. The driver was found unconscious inside their vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver who caused the accident was given Narcan at the scene, as they overdosed and were found unconscious. One or more people involved in the accident were injured and transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
