Rome, GA – Rollover Accident with Fire on Turner McCall Blvd
Rome, GA (January 7, 2022) – At 6:30 p.m. on the evening of Friday, January 7, a rollover accident with injuries occurred in Rome.
Rome Police responded to the scene, where they found that several vehicles collided on Turner McCall Boulevard. The vehicles were traveling in the area of the Floyd Medical Center when they forcefully collided, causing one of the vehicles to violently overturn. The vehicle then caught on fire. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders, including Rome fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The victims were hospitalized with serious injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
A large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
