Rome, GA – Rollover Accident on GA-1 Loop Near Black Bluffs Rd
Rome, GA (June 12, 2021) – Near 2 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, June 12, a rollover accident with injuries occurred in Rome.
According to Floyd County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of GA-1 Loop around the area of Black Bluffs Road. The driver of a vehicle was traveling on the highway when the vehicle rolled over and was crushed on all sides as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were ejected from the vehicle and were injured as a result of the crash. Their injuries were described as serious in nature.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
