Rome, GA – One Killed, One Injured in Two-Car Accident on Martha Berry Blvd at Berry College
Rome, GA (April 24, 2021) – Early Thursday morning, April 22, at least one person was killed following a fatal car accident in front of Berry College.
Officers say that the fatal two-vehicle accident occurred in front of the college, which is located on Martha Berry Boulevard, around 7:00 a.m. and left traffic shut down for hours.
Initial reports stated that a 2013 Chevrolet Cruz driven by a 52-year-old woman collided head-on with a Ford Escape driven by a 58-year-old man.
At least one person died as a result of the accident, and it appears the other driver sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. Further details on the events leading up to the wreck have not been released, though authorities said that the investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
