Rome, GA – One Injured in Car Accident at US-411 & Chateau Dr Intersection
Rome, GA (April 20, 2022) – One person was injured as a result of a car accident that took place at an intersection in Rome on Tuesday afternoon, April 19.
According to Rome Police, the accident happened in the afternoon hours at the intersection of US-411 and Chateau Drive. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other at the intersection due to unknown reasons. The vehicles have since been identified as a Dodge Durango and a Toyota Tundra with head-on damage. The Dodge jumped a culvert as a result of the forceful collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person was injured as a result of the accident. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of leg and neck injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, traffic was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing. Police will update with more information as it is available.
