Rome, GA – Motorcycle Crash at Cartersville Hwy & Callier Springs Rd
Rome, GA (May 27, 2021) – On Wednesday, May 26, a motorcycle crash took place at an intersection in Rome.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of Cartersville Highway and Callier Springs Road. A motorcycle and a passenger vehicle were traveling in the area when they collided with one another. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The driver of the motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was rushed to the hospital with a serious head injury. The driver of the other vehicle had a minor injury but did not receive medical treatment.
The area around the local Tractor Supply was blocked for some time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
