Rome, GA – Motorcycle Accident with Injuries on Ward Mtn Rd
Rome, GA (August 21, 2021) – Around 1 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, August 21, a motorcycle accident occurred in Rome.
According to Floyd County Police, the accident happened at 1200 Ward Mountain Road. Three motorcycles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The motorcycles were badly damaged as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the crash. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were rushed to local hospitals for treatment of serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
