Rome, GA – Motorcycle Accident with Injuries at GA-27 & Dixie Park Rd
Rome, GA (August 11, 2022) – According to Floyd County officials, injuries were reported in a motorcycle crash that took place in Rome on Thursday, August 11.
Reports from Floyd County officials confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of GA-27 and Dixie Park Road. A motorcyclist was traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection and were struck by a passenger vehicle due to unknown reasons. The involved vehicles sustained immense damage as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been formally identified, was severely injured and had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment. Their current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
