Rome, GA – Car Crash at GA-293 & Moran Lake Rd Leads to Injuries
Rome, GA (July 21, 2021) – On Wednesday afternoon, July 21, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Rome.
According to Floyd County Police, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-293 and Moran Lake Road. A burgundy pickup truck was traveling in the area when it suddenly drove through the intersection, colliding with a gray Fiat. The grey Fiat was badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person was injured in the accident, though their condition is not known at this time.
Traffic was backed up in the area in both lanes until police were able to clear the scene. This led to delays at the intersection for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
