Rome, GA – Car Accident at Burnett Ferry Rd & Shorter Ave
Rome, GA (June 8, 2021) – On Tuesday afternoon, June 8, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Rome.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Burnett Ferry Road and Shorter Avenue. Two pickup trucks collided after they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two people were checked out by paramedics and taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Eastbound lanes of traffic were temporarily impacted until police cleared the scene.
