Rome, GA – Ambulance Accident Leads to Injuries at Turner McCall Blvd & Broad St

Rome, GA (March 16, 2023) – Five people sustained injuries in an ambulance rollover accident that happened at an intersection in Rome on the night of Wednesday, March 15.

According to Rome Police, the accident happened around 9:23 p.m. at the intersection of Turner McCall Boulevard and Broad Street. An ambulance was traveling through the intersection when it was involved in a collision with one or more passenger vehicles. The ambulance overturned and sustained severe damages as a result of the crash.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A total of five people sustained injuries in the accident. The victims were transported to Atrium Health Floyd for treatment, though their current conditions are not yet known.

The intersection was blocked for about an hour as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays until the scene was fully cleared.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues. Police will update with more information as it is available.
