Rock Spring, GA – Woman Killed in Fatal Crash at Ringgold Rd & GA-95
Rock Spring, GA (May 1, 2021) – At 8:44 p.m. on Friday, a woman was killed in a fatal crash at an intersection in Rock Spring.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident took place at the intersection of Ringgold Road and GA-95. A 68-year-old man was driving his Toyota in the area and started to make a left turn at the intersection. At the same time, a 37-year-old woman was driving through the intersection in her Chevy. The Toyota turned in front of the Chevy, causing the two to forcefully collide.
Two people inside the Chevy, including the female driver and a 15-year-old female passenger, were ejected from the vehicle. They were seriously injured and taken to a local hospital. A 74-year-old female passenger in the Toyota was seriously injured and passed away at the hospital.
The driver of the Toyota was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
