Riverdale, GA – Two-Vehicle Collision with Injuries on GA-138
Riverdale, GA (June 5, 2021) – On Friday, June 4, a two-vehicle collision with injuries occurred on a major roadway in Riverdale.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened when two vehicles collided on GA-138. At the time, a 67-year-old man was driving a Ford Expedition when he was unable to stop in time for traffic. His vehicle veered over into the other lane of traffic and struck the front of a Ford Escort being operated by a 49-year-old woman.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The female driver of the Escort, as well as her 52-year-old female passenger, were both injuries. They were transported to local hospitals with a variety of injuries.
The driver of the Expedition is facing charges at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
