Riverdale, GA – Pedestrian Accident on GA-85 Near Bethsaida Rd
Riverdale, GA (August 28, 2021) – At 6:45 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, August 28, a pedestrian accident occurred in Riverdale.
According to police, a pedestrian was walking in the area of GA-85 and Bethsaida Road. The pedestrian started to cross the roadway when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Their condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked for a period of time. Only the left lane was open as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for a period of time.
