Riverdale, GA – Bus Accident at GA-85 & Valley Hill Rd Intersection
Riverdale, GA (May 19, 2021) – At 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning, May 19, a bus accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Riverdale.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-85 and Valley Hill Road. A passenger vehicle attempted to pass a MARTA bus, which caused the two to collide forcefully in the area. Both of the vehicles then went off the side of the road and slammed into a utility pole.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The bus driver, a passenger on the bus, and the passenger in the vehicle were all injured and hospitalized.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
