Rising Fawn, GA – Two Seriously Injured in Rollover Crash on Cloverdale Rd
Rising Fawn, GA (April 5, 2022) – At 4:30 p.m. on the afternoon of March 31, two people were seriously injured in a rollover crash in Rising Fawn.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of traffic on Cloverdale Road. A 22-year-old man was operating his Jeep Wrangler and headed north when he started to negotiate a curve in the road at a high speed. He failed to maintain his lane and went off the side of the road, where the Jeep forcefully overturned. Police confirmed that the Jeep also struck a pole in the collision.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver, as well as a 22-year-old male passenger, were both ejected from the Jeep when it rolled. They sustained severe injuries and were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident until police cleared the scene. Police confirmed that the driver of the vehicle will be facing charges.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
