Ringgold, GA – Pedestrian Accident with Injuries at Scruggs Rd & Cobb Pkwy
Ringgold, GA (December 27, 2021) – At 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 27, a pedestrian accident with serious injuries occurred in Ringgold.
According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Scruggs Road and Cobb Parkway. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they suddenly started to cross the road at the intersection. At that time, they were struck by a traveling passenger vehicle. It is believed that the involved vehicle stopped at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their current condition is not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked at the intersection in front of the local Costco grocery store. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so that traffic could continue in the area.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
