Ringgold, GA – One Killed in Fatal Car Accident on Jacobs Rd
Ringgold, GA (November 12, 2022) – Around 12 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, November 11, one person was killed in a fatal car crash in Ringgold.
According to Ringgold Police Department officials, the accident happened early afternoon on Jacobs Road. Police confirmed that two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they became involved in a collision with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged in the accident.
Several local responders, including Ringgold fire crews and paramedics, were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated by fire crews. One person, who has not yet been formally identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
