Ringgold, GA – Head-on Collision with Injuries at GA-3 & Pine Grove Access Rd
Ringgold, GA (August 19, 2021) – Around 10:34 p.m. on the night of Friday, August 14, a head-on collision occurred at an intersection in Ringgold.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-3 and Pine Grove Access Road. At the time, a 38-year-old woman from Rossville was driving her Ford Expedition when her vehicle collided with a Hyundai Tucson being driven by a 25-year-old woman from Chatsworth. The vehicles involved in the accident were left with extensive damages and were towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A 35-year-old passenger in the Ford, the owner of the Ford, and a 14-year-old, were seriously injured as a result of the crash. The other driver and a 4-year-old child were also injured in the accident.
The driver of the first vehicle was taken to Catoosa County Jail on charges of DUI, failing to maintain her lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, and more.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
