Ringgold, GA – Fatal Car Accident at GA-151 & Beaver Creek Ln Intersection
Ringgold, GA (December 17, 2021) – At 3 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, December 17, a fatal car accident occurred at an intersection in Ringgold.
According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-151 and Beaver Creek Lane. A red Mazda sports car was driving south in the area while an Infiniti was traveling north. When both of the vehicles came to a curve in the road, they collided head-on with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Mazda, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Their passenger was rushed to Erlanger Medical Center with traumatic injuries by medical helicopter. The driver of the Infiniti, as well as their two passengers, were also hospitalized with injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
Georgia State Patrol continues its investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
