Ringgold, GA – Eight Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-75
Ringgold, GA (June 16, 2021) – In the afternoon hours of Wednesday, June 16, a multi-vehicle accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Ringgold.
According to Catoosa County deputies, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 348. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to unknown reasons. One of the vehicles involved in the accident caught on fire, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Eight people, who have not yet been identified, were injured as a result of the accident. The parties were all transported to the hospital.
Due to the severity of the accident, all lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
