Resaca, GA – Motorcycle Accident with Serious Injuries on I-75
Resaca, GA (September 5, 2021) – After 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, September 5, a serious motorcycle accident with injuries took place in Resaca.
According to Gordon County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 315. A motorcycle was traveling in the area when the motorcyclist was struck by a passenger vehicle. The motorcycle was left with severe damages as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The adult motorcyclist was seriously injured in the accident and was airlifted to the hospital for treatment. Their condition is not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
