Powder Springs, GA – Car Accident at GA-278 & Brownsville Rd Intersection
Powder Springs, GA (July 1, 2021) – At 4:56 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, July 1, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Powder Springs.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-278 and Brownsville Road when two vehicles collided with each other. The vehicles allegedly entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the crash were so extensively damaged that they had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Powder Springs Road as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
