Powder Springs, GA – Car Accident at Brownsville Rd & Tidwell Rd
Powder Springs, GA (July 8, 2021) – At 8:29 p.m. on the night of Thursday, July 8, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Powder Springs.
According to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Brownsville Road and Tidwell Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged and had to be removed from the intersection by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for two hours as police cleared the roadway. This led to delays in the area.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
