Poulan, GA – Four Killed in Fatal Car Accident at GA-112 & N Rd
Poulan, GA (October 12, 2021) – On Saturday, October 9, four people were killed in a fatal car accident at an intersection in Poulan.
According to Worth County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-112 and North Road. A 71-year-old man was traveling south at the intersection when a 78-year-old woman was driving in a Toyota Camry near the intersection and headed around a curve in the road. One of the vehicles went across the center lane, colliding head-on with the other vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. Four people were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, two of which were identified as an 85-year-old woman and an 83-year-old woman.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
