Pooler, GA – Serious Pedestrian Accident Leads to Injuries on Hwy 80
Pooler, GA (July 16, 2022) – Serious injuries were reported in a pedestrian accident that happened on a major highway in Pooler on Friday night, July 15.
According to Pooler Police, the accident happened on Highway 80 around the area of I-95 at 8:30 p.m. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that was traveling in the area. The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Their current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
