Pooler, GA – Injuries Reported in Tractor-Trailer Accident in EB Lanes of I-16
Pooler, GA (October 8, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a tractor-trailer accident that happened on a highway in Pooler on Tuesday afternoon, October 4.
According to Pooler Police, the accident happened at an unknown time in the eastbound lanes of I-16 around the area of Pooler Parkway. A tractor-trailer carrying a house was traveling in the area when it slammed into a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The passenger vehicle was extensively damaged and left with smashed windows as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. EMS crews were seen assisting several victims at the scene of the accident. The injured victims were transported to local hospitals, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in several eastbound lanes of traffic for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
