Polk County, GA – Woman Killed in Fatal House Explosion in Polk County
Polk County, GA (December 12, 2021) – On Sunday morning, December 12, a woman was killed in a fatal house explosion in Polk County.
According to officials, the accident happened in a home in Polk County. When fire crews were called to the scene, they discovered that propane exploded inside the home, causing the entire home to explode. Debris was left scattered all over the area and it was difficult to tell that a home had been standing in the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The person who had been inside the home, identified as an elderly woman in a wheelchair, was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.
Due to the severity of the incident, the area was blocked off for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
