Peach Co, GA – Man Killed in Car Crash on Hwy 96 at Housers Mill Rd
Peach Co, GA (August 4, 2021) – Around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, August 4, at least one person was killed in a fatal car crash on a roadway in Peach County.
The fatal accident blocked all lanes of traffic on Highway 96 in Peach County. According to Coroner Kerry Rooks, the incident occurred at 3:15 p.m. near Housers Mill Road.
Initial reports indicated that a man from out-of-state was driving a Toyota Camry when he collided with a pickup truck on the highway.
The man in the Camry was seriously injured in the crash and died at the scene before he could be transported to the hospital by EMS. His name hasn’t been released.
It’s unclear if any other victims were hospitalized, though it appears at least one other person was treated at the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
