Norcross, GA – Three Injured in Fire Inside Car on Jimmy Carter Blvd
Norcross, GA (November 28, 2021) – At 2:20 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, November 27, a fire took place inside a car in Norcross.
According to Gwinnett County officials, the fire took place inside a car on Jimmy Carter Boulevard near HomeTowne Studios. A vehicle started to catch on fire due to gas and reasons that are not yet known. Witnesses worked on grabbing fire extinguishers to put out the fire until fire crews arrived.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Two victims sustained injuries inside the vehicle and had to be hospitalized. One witness who tried to help those out of the vehicle was also injured and had to be hospitalized.
The area was blocked for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. Fire crews got the fire under control.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the circumstances of the incident continues.
