Norcross, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries in SB Lanes of I-85
Norcross, GA (August 1, 2021) – At 1:49 a.m. on the morning of Monday, August 1, a multi-vehicle crash took place on a highway in Norcross.
According to Gwinnett County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in multiple right lanes for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
