Norcross, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Results in Injuries on I-85 at Indian Trail Rd & MP 101
Norcross, GA (May 31, 2021) – On Monday evening, May 31, a serious multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Gwinnett County.
According to officers with the Norcross Police Department, the collision took place in the northbound lanes of Interstate 85 around the exit ramp to Indian Trail Road and milepost 101. Multiple vehicles collided in a chain-reaction crash, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene around 7:45 p.m. Medical authorities say that one or more victims sustained major injuries, and those victims were transported to an area hospital for further treatment. However, the number of injured victims, as well as their current conditions, is unknown.
All lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time, leading to serious delays.
No further details have been released but NPD officers are continuing their investigation at this time.
