Norcross, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-85 Near Beaver Ruin Rd
Norcross, GA (July 3, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on the evening of Friday, July 2, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Norcross.
According to Gwinnett County Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Beaver Ruin Road (exit 102). Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were injured. The parties were hospitalized for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes but the vehicles were soon moved off to the right until they were removed by tow trucks.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
