Norcross, GA – Car Crash on I-85 Near Jimmy Carter Blvd Leads to Injuries
Norcross, GA (October 2, 2021) – At 6:52 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, October 2, a car crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Norcross.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 99, Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties were injured in the accident. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time.
