Norcross, GA – Car Crash on I-85 Near Jimmy Carter Blvd Leads to Injuries
Norcross, GA (July 25, 2021) – At 8:13 p.m. on the night of Sunday, July 25, a car crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Norcross.
According to Gwinnett County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided forcefully due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
