Norcross, GA – Car Crash in SB Lanes of I-85 Near Beaver Ruin Rd
Norcross, GA (July 14, 2021) – At 2:28 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, July 14, a serious car crash with injuries occurred in Norcross.
According to Gwinnett County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of exit 102, Beaver Ruin Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other emergency responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. They arrived and discovered that one or more victims were injured due to the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals, though they have not yet been identified.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time after the accident. Police urged those traveling through to use Buford Highway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
