Norcross, GA – Car Accident on I-85 Near Jimmy Carter Blvd Leads to Injuries
Norcross, GA (August 8, 2021) – At 4:21 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, August 8, a car accident with injuries occurred in Norcross.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Jimmy Carter Boulevard, exit 99. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
