Norcross, GA – Car Accident on I-85 Near Jimmy Carter Blvd Leads to Injuries
Norcross, GA (July 10, 2021) – At 7:47 p.m. on the evening of Friday, July 9, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Norcross.
According to officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they were involved in a chain-reaction collision, which caused extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Multiple left center lanes were blocked due to the collision. Police urged those in the area to use Buford Highway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
