Norcross, GA – Car Accident on I-85 Near Jimmy Carter Blvd
Norcross, GA (August 22, 2021) – At 7:26 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, August 22, a car accident happened on a highway in Norcross.
According to Gwinnett County Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they forcefully collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Two center lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
